Here's a step-by-step guide to help you navigate through this process.

Step 1: Locate the File

The first step in deleting an attached file is to locate it. You can do this by inserting the filename in the global search bar at the top-right corner of your NetSuite dashboard. As you type, NetSuite's autocomplete feature will suggest matching files from all areas of your system.

Step 2: Choose 'Edit'

Once you've located the desired file in the search results, click on the file name. This will open a new page with details about the file. Look for the 'Edit' option in the top right corner of the page and click on it to proceed.

Step 3: Navigate to the Actions Menu

After clicking 'Edit', you'll be taken to a new page where you can manipulate the file. Here, you'll see an 'Actions' menu. Hover your mouse over this menu to reveal a dropdown list of options.

Step 4: Delete the File

In the dropdown list under the 'Actions' menu, you'll find the 'Delete' option. Clicking 'Delete' will remove the file from the record and also delete it from the File Cabinet.

Important: Be sure you want to delete the file before proceeding, as this action cannot be undone.
